Kurt offers observations of the 'others' and his own anonymity in his 'Ipswich Series'. The figures in these oils are merely a part of the landscape, used to explore the formal elements of line, form and texture on a flat surface. The ordinary and mundane become curious, offering a psychological depth that is at once reassuring and unsettling. Kurt is an award-winning cartoonist and painter whose work has appeared at the Society of Illustrators, at the Cape Ann Museum, and in Comics Workbook. He lives with his wife and son in Salem, Massachusetts.
