Michael Crockett's work explores the relationship between the human form and the natural world. Entangled symbols of nature and the universe are found within the figures and forms.
“Formula Clouds” are examples of his Digital Photographic Collage that leaves the human form behind in place of abstractions of natural forms. These large-scale collages engage the viewer, drawing their “gaze” as a cloud formation would on a beautiful day. Non-linear abstractions allow the viewer to daydream and create their own interpretations. The human/nature connection still exists as a partnership between the work and the viewer.
Face Space Place is a series of small drawings.
